Julie Chen Moonves hosts the sensational summer reality series Big Brother, which returned for its 22nd season August 5 at CBS.Chen Moonves was among The original hosts of the Emmy-nominated Daytime talk show The Talk, serving as host and moderator from the year 2010 until 2018. The real reason she was interested in the show came after she started writing, and was awarded an Emmy. Also, she was awarded the Emmy for hosting, and an award-winning television talkshow. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five female hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News' early morning news show The Early Show for a decade. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host for The Early Show. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. There, she tracked down and talked to the father who led the hijackers in an eye-opening and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers like former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania of Jordan as well as former Defence Secretary William Cohen, and celebrities such as Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter who has interviewed stars like Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was a reporter with WDTN TV Dayton which was based in Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). Prior to that, she worked as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's associated news service (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant for the ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while she was finishing her final year in university at the University of Southern California. Her first job in broadcasting was as a desk associate for ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' heros. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel to produce the Columbia du-Pont-winning documentary Anatomy of a Riot which was a look at those who were involved in the Los Angeles riots of '92.
