Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winning talk show) was back on the air to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd edition. The real reason she was interested in the show came after she began writing and received an Emmy. Then she won a second Emmy for her role as host of an exceptional entertainment talk show. From 2002 to the year 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Prior to that, she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host for The Early Show. After 9/11 she went to Cairo for an informative and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves's stories feature newsmakers including the former New York City City mayor Rudy Giuliani; Queen Rania Jordanian William Cohen (former Defense Secretary), and celebrities like Denzel Washington. Before The Early Show she was the reporter for WDTN TV Dayton in Dayton Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). In her final semester at college, she was an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as the producer of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news channel). As a desk assistant in the ABC News late night broadcast Nightline, she worked with Ted Koppel. He remains an inspiration to her in the field of journalism. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel in the production of the award-winning Columbia du-Pont program Anatomy of a Riot which was a look at events surrounding the Los Angeles riots of '92.
